A very quick post before I head off to our first AGM. . . .
Had a bit of a change last weekend while Cardiff Rivers Group turned it's hand at the River Ely and some Himalayan Balsam removal. We had a good turnout, with plenty of new volunteers - more on this later.
Cardiff Rivers Group will be in the same area again this weekend to remove the remainder of the Himalyan Balsam, followed by a general clear up of the area, including the riverbanks. All volunteers are asked to meet at the entrance to Birdies Lane, Fairwater at 9.45am. See the previous post for location details, map, etc.
Canton Community Gardens are having a litterpick on Monday evening if anyone's interested. They'll be concentrating on the car parks of Canton - which are constantly covered in litter. Meet outside Chapter Arts Centre at 18:30. Check out their blog for more information on what they do. cantoncommunitygardens.blogspot.com
