Taff Embankment - Tidy. Tidy.

Cardiff Rivers Group enjoyed another successful clean up operation on Sunday August 7th.

The 12 volunteers collected 17 bags of rubbish, 13 bags of recycling, half a wooden gate, a suitcase, a carpet, a duvet, and a rubber duck!
Cardiff Parks Service kindly collected all the waste to complete the job.
We collected our 1st bike for the Cardiff Recycling workshop. This is an initiative where instead of sending the bike to the dump to rust and decay, we instead send it to have some TLC, (and maybe some new bits and a bit of oil) - voilĂ  a bike ready to be sold - with Keep Wales Tidy benefiting from a share of the proceeds. Win, win win situation.

The next event will be held Sunday August 21 2pm at Blackweir - meet at the town end of Pontcanna allotments (parking available at the changing rooms nearby on Fields Park Road) to collect the equipment from our shiny new container.
