A number of the regular Cardiff River Group volunteers ran the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday October 16. An unseasonably warm autumn day saw the 13 mile course being run in pretty warm sunshine, which didn't help those on the course.
The course luckily did not go near the river, therefore no quick stops with a black bag were required.
Remember, they weren't running it for fun - some definitely didn't seem to be having much fun. They were running to try and raise some much needed funds for Keep Wales Tidy. You can still sponsor the Litterish Allsorts here - http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/keepwalestidy2011
You can also look for proof (and have a laugh) amongst the photos here - http://www2.brightroom.com/75408
Thanks from the team for all the sponsorship so far.
