Bute Park clean up report

Cardiff Rivers Group were out in force last weekend in Bute Park, where 22 volunteers got hot and sweaty for over 2 hours clearing the Feeder of rubbish. They collected 26 bags of rubbish, 6 cones, a few bins, metal fencing and lots of scrap metal. They also removed a blockage of broken branches from underneath a bridge to allow the feeder to flow freely once more. Pics can be seen here.

Do you ever wonder what happens to the waste we collect? If you would like to find out, then Cardiff Council run weekly trips around Lamby Way waste facility on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 1 and 2pm. They can take a maximum of 6 people per trip but no children. So, if you fancy a visit, just let me know which date you prefer?

Our next event will take place at 10am on Sun 10th June where we will PROBABLY be going to the River Ely to tackle Himalayan Balsam and litter. More details to follow.
