Welcome to the Cardiff Rivers Group.

Welcome to the Cardiff Rivers Group Blog.
This is a community voluntary action group formed to address the problem of litter and debris in around Cardiff's Rivers. The members met whilst volunteering on Keep Wales Tidy river clean-ups and consist of a wide range of people who enjoy using the rivers and their trails.

New volunteers are always welcome. It's a great way to meet new people, have some fun and get some great exercise in some great locations. You can stroll along the path picking up cans or stick the waders on and get waist deep in water while wrestling with a trolley - it's up to you.
Come along - you'll do some good and feel good.
Contact Louise, our press officer, or leave a comment on the blog to show your interest.

About CRG Events

Health & Safety
We've appointed a H&S Officer who carries out a risk assessment before every event and gives a safety talk to all attendees. CRG also has insurance to cover all volunteers on our events.

Kit Provided
All attendees will be provided with heavy duty gloves, litter-pickers and refuse sacks.

Kit Needed
We ask everyone to bring appropriate clothing and footwear to work on the river banks. We suggest strong shoes or boots as well as old, warm and waterproof clothing. During the summer months, please remember to bring drinks.
