This Sunday we will be tackling the stream and woods at the North end of Roath Park. The stream regularly gets blocked and local residents have asked for help in clearing it. There will probably be Himalyan Balsam on site too, so hopefully something for everyone!
Meeting point: Wild Gardens Road (cuts across the park joining Lake Road East with Lake Road West). See map
Meeting time: 10am
Finish time: 12pm
As we have been tackling lots of invasive species recently, I thought this leaflet may be useful, so please have a read so you are aware of all the ‘naughty’ plants. Please read the Giant Hogweed section carefully as it can cause nasty blisters! More info can also be found here.
Finally, a fellow charity, Llamau, have asked for volunteers to help them rattle buckets on 4th August (see poster here). They regularly help KWT with volunteers for events, so if you can lend a hand please contact Sue directly.
