On Sunday, 15 members of Cardiff Rivers Group worked to unblock the stream that feeds Roath Park.
Following the heavy rain last night, the grill had become blocked with leaves and other debris, and in just over an hour the team completely cleared it. The stream was once again flowly freely so members then turned their attention to litter-pick the Wild Gardens, collecting 13 bags of litter.
A job well done! |

Group member, Louise Tambini said: “It is amazing how quickly the guys cleared the grill. They went at it like locusts and in an hour the leaves were non-existent! Hopefully, this work will ensure the area does not get flooded”.
All waste will be collected by Parks Services.
