The next Cardiff Rivers Group event is this Sunday, the 3rd of November where we will be cleaning the feeder at the rear of the Royal College of Music and Drama.
In the past, there has been a lot of construction work undertaken so it will be good to have a good clear out now that the work has finished. This event links nicely into the moat dredging project that is also under way.
There will be a variety of activities and, if we have enough volunteers, we will tackle 3 areas (marked in pink on the map). We’ll need at least 6 people to don waders and work in the feeder (2 per area). For the sensible people who don’t want to risk getting wet, you can litter pick around the banks as well as providing supporting for those people in the water.
Time: 10:45am
Day: Sunday
Date: 03/11/2013
Meet: At the rear of the Royal College of Music and Drama on the feeder
Parking: King Edward VII Ave.
For those unfamiliar with the area, see the map:
As usual, all tools, equipment and waders will be provided, but please wear warm, waterproof clothing in case the weather is poor and sturdy footwear
For those who fancy, we’ll have a project ‘de-brief’ at 13:15 at the Blackweir tavern.
Please let me know if you can make it so we can gauge the numbers and bring sufficient equipment.
